The Upper Room Christian Summer Program provides a wide variety of activities in a safe, Christian environment. We accommodate children entering Pre-K thru 6th grade, no younger than age 4 and no older than age 11. Our staff consists of qualified staff members, who teach at Upper Room Christian School.
Benefits of Camp
When it comes to camp, most of us fall into two categories: those who attended or worked at camp; and those who did not. Most people who never attended camp often think of camp as a place where kids go to have fun. Camp is also viewed as a place where parents can send their children to ensure peace and quiet at home or to go to work. For decades, those of us that went to camp have flourished because of the skill sets we gained at camps. In today’s society, television, video games, computers, I-pads, and smartphones have changed the way we live and interact. As incredible as these technologies are, as parents, we notice how harmful they can be to our children, if used improperly.
More than ever, camp plays a vital role in giving children a complete education. In addition to our campers attending great schools and having loving families, we will provide the “non-cognitive” social skills that children need to be successful later in life. In addition to our Fun in the Son program, we are excited to introduce our “Cool Math & Science Program” and our “Home Economics Program.”
